Imagine an alarm clock. This alarm clock goes on and off at the time you have set it to do so. However, at one point, either because something happened in your life, genetics or environmental stressors, the internal alarm clock goes off ALL the time. This is what anxiety is. It is uncontrollable worry, fears, hesitations, tiredness because your internal alarm is always ringing.

This results in some of the following physical and emotional symptoms:

  • Hyper focused on certain thoughts (things that you did or said during the day, etc)
  • Fearful as if something bad is going to happen to you
  • Headaches
